The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is proud to serve as a media partner for a gathering that grew into Southern Ocean County’s largest festival, a family‑friendly and pet‑friendly tradition that continues to expand in size, spirit, and cultural impact. In 2026, the 10th Annual Ocean County Irish Festival enters an exciting new chapter as it moves to Robert J. Miller Airpark on Route 530 in Berkeley Township, the well‑known home of the Ocean County Fair. With free admission, free parking, and a welcoming place for all ages, the festival is poised for its biggest year yet. The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh have continued to elevate the event even as festivals face challenges with sponsorships and attendance. Their commitment to Irish heritage and local outreach has shaped an outdoor festival that draws attention more than any in our region.

The 2026 Ocean County Irish Festival, presented by Monmouth Ocean Regional Realtors and Patriot Financial Group, will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The expanded venue at Miller Airpark allows the festival to grow while staying rooted to the Southern Ocean County community by raising funds giving back to our area. Live entertainment throughout the day, with performances by The Natterjacks, The John Byrne Band, Ocean County Emerald Society Pipes & Drums, Shamrock & Thistle Pipes & Drums, and The Drunken Clams. Irish dancers will add to the festive atmosphere, creating a full day of celebration. Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating to enjoy the performances comfortably.

This year the beer garden will feature beer, wine, hard seltzers, and ciders, including selections from new partner Samuel Adams Brewery. Across the festival grounds, dozens of vendors will showcase their goods, offering everything from artisan crafts to specialty items. Food options, ranging from traditional Irish fare—complete with the festival’s famous corned beef sandwiches—to hot dogs, hamburgers, soft pretzels, pizza, fish and chips, BBQ, sandwiches, and sweet treats. 50/50 and raffle tickets for the popular Royal Bine Truckload of Cheer Drawing will be on sale.

Families will find plenty to enjoy in the Celtic Kids Zone, featuring games, activities, ice cream, and a variety of kid‑friendly surprises. The festival grounds are wheelchair accessible, pet friendly, and equipped with ATMs for convenience.

At its core, the festival reflects the mission of the Order of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating Irish heritage and supporting local charities. Proceeds from the event allow the club to donate generously to organizations such as Compassion Café, military and law enforcement support programs, local school food‑insecure initiatives, rescue missions, David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, and St. Francis Community Center. Their work strengthens the Southern Ocean County community and ensures that the festival’s impact extends far beyond a single day of celebration.
